Condolences

Condolence From: Ellen Klotz
Condolence: If you grew up in and around Gillmore Village your life was in some way touched by Mr. Zuranski. Maybe you walked with him and the dogs and listened to the stories he told, maybe you were lucky enough to receive some great advice from a wise man or maybe you were out of hand and needed a stern talking to. Whatever it was we were all very lucky to have him in our lives. To the family, Know that Mr. Zuranski touched and helped mold many young lives and is in our prayers. He will be missed.

Condolence From: Kevin LaClair
Condolence: I grew up in Gillmore Village but I learned what it was to be a man at 908 Hillcrest Ave. I was lucky enough to have Tom as my best friend. Pop was pretty scary when I first met him I was about 12 and Pop came home from work and announced This aint no young mans rest home. But that went away after Pop seen you a few times. There were a lot of us in the village with only one parent and Pop made a point of meeting yours,Pop knew everyones parents. Let me tell you what I know about Pop. Pop was a Hero He was in World War 2 he did not talk about it much but when he did you knew why he did not. Pop was a worker. He worked as a construction worker some days he worked from sunup to sundown. Pop loved his family and his family loved him. His children would always visit no matter how long ago they moved out and got married the house seemed to always have his children and grandchildren visiting. Pop loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. A lot of kids from the village had their first outdoor experience with Pop or the boys. Mr & Mrs Zuranski did not know it but they touched a lot of lives and inspired a lot of us kids to be better men and women. I will surely miss you.

Condolence From: William E. Newell
Condolence: John was a fixture of the Gillmore Village Community. A kind gentleman who you would see on a daily basis walking around the entire Gillmore projects and taking the time to talk to who ever shared a hello with him. He stopped to look, listen and watch the children and adults play at the park or in the neighborhood. He told stories of when he was a child and there was no Gillmore just trees and grass and when he cane home from the war the projects were being built.John was a strong man for his age, I looked up to him and received my strength to go on even though I have multiple disability's. I don't remember much of John as a child even though I knew his children. I am glad to have met him again as an adult, and will always remember his stories and the laughs we shared together in the neighborhood that John called home.
God bless you John for I know heaven is a brighter place having you as a neighbor will make all angels happy.
Gillmore Village residents have lost a great friend.

Condolence: I to was a person that grew up in Gillmore Village...and when I think of growing up there Mr. Zuranski is in alot of those memories. I would walk around the village with him and through the woods with his dogs. He would stop and talk to everybody...and everybody that knew him loved him and his stories he would tell. I gave those dogs a bath probably once a week and then would get treated to some candy at the store for my hard work. Mr Zuranski you will be sadly missed but never forgotten...To the family my prayers go out to you at this time...He sure was a good man!!!
