Grandma

I loved visiting my Grandma Nourse. I have very early memories of visiting her on the farm in New Woodstock. She always had cookies or some other treat for us. And she always took pictures of us with the animals. Years later, as an adult, I visit her bringing my own children who loved seeing her and her little buddy Oscar. Every visit, Grandma had treats. And every time, she would pull out an old picture or an old newspaper clipping with me in it. While we usually laughed together and giggled at the hairstyles and facial expressions in the old pictures, I was always very touched that she was thinking of me and had kept these items after all these years. I used to imagine that she must have huge foot lockers or something filled with these pictures because they just kept coming out year after year! I will truly miss this pure and loving relationship. She was the sweetest, most wonderful person you could ever have the privilege of meeting. She was savy and insightful on political issues and current events. And she had a sly, witty sense of humor right up until the day she died. I was blessed to have known her.
