OBITUARY

Timothy G. Devine

LOCKE – HAMILTON: Timothy G. Devine, 69, of Reservoir Rd., Hamilton, formerly of Locke, passed away Friday August 10, 2018 at his home on Lebanon Reservoir. He was born February 4, 1949 in Sherwood, NY a son of the late John K. and Olive (Nedrow) Devine and was a graduate of Southern Cayuga Central School. Tim served his country in the United States Marine Corps with two tours in Vietnam. He was a self-employed dairy farmer, horseman and dairy cattle hoof trimmer in Cayuga and Onondaga counties until his retirement. He enjoyed time at the family camp in Canada, cooking and sharing hearty meat and potato traditional meals, always having a dog or two with him, fishing and showing draft horses, including a six-horse hitch which he loved to drive. Mostly, family and friends will always remember Tim as a prankster and independent free-spirited soul!
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law; J. Kenneth and Ruth Devine of Locke and three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Doris and Don Mundy of Oneonta, Ruby Lois Mikulas of Vero Beach, FL, Marjorie and Bob Quick of Spencerport, his most recent caretakers nephew and niece-in-law, Greg Devine and Sara Barlass, Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews including those who spent summers with him as kids, Greg, Jeff Perkins, Hamburg, Rita Dell’Aquila, NYC and Stephanie Stevens, Saranac Lake, NY.
In keeping with Tim’s wishes, there will be no calling hours and interment in West Genoa Cemetery, King Ferry will be private.
