JAMES F. CARD, SR.

HAMILTON: James F. “Jim” Card, Sr., 53, of Route 12B, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital in New Hartford.
He was born March 5, 1965 in Oneida, a son of Solomon and Carole Marie Miller Card and received his education in Stockbridge schools. Jim served in the NY Army National Guard, Co. A 1st BN, 108th Inf NYARNG, Oneida. He worked in construction for Norman von Wettberg and Todd Thomsen Design & Construction in Hamilton.
Surviving are his girlfriend, Sherri Lynn Jones; his mother, Carol Marie Card of Oneida; children, Derrick Lee Balcom of FL; Aaron Michael Jones, Mikayla Jones and Daymeon Jones, all of Hamilton; sisters, Robin (Andre) Coss of Canastota; Barbara Card of Oneida; Carole Card and Linda Bender, both of Chittenango; Lisa (Manny) Winston of Utica; brothers, Clarence (Brenda) Card of Canastota; Solomon “Butch” Card, Jr. of Oneida; grandchildren, Casmire Partridge, Xavier Jones and Riley Jones; several aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Solomon Card, Sr. and a son, James F. Card, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY, followed by interment in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneida.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7pm.
