Kaden R. Eckrich, 12, of State Route 20, Madison, NY, died Monday, July 9, 2018 as the result of a boating accident.
He was born February 28, 2006 in Rome, NY, a son of Francis R. and Heather R. Bobbette Eckrich. Kaden was going to enter 7th grade at Madison Central School, where he played basketball, baseball and soccer. He enjoyed fishing, sports, video games and tormenting his brother. He was quite the jokester and loved putting smiles on everyone’s faces.
Surviving are his parents Heather and Francis of Madison; his brother, Dawson of Madison; paternal grandparents, Penelope (Guy) Mintel of Madison; Gary (Louise) Williams of Lebanon; maternal grandparents, Donna Ryan of Madison; Peter Bobbette of Chittenango; Jim (Sally) Buyea of Dexter, NY; aunts and uncles, Jenna (Greg) Crane of Knoxboro; Lory (Troy) Irwin of Daytona, FL; Megan (Joseph) O’Shields of NC; April (James) Staelens of Madison; Sharon Mintel of Pratts Hollow; Heather Mintel of Herkimer; Courtney Williams of Lebanon; Eric (Joanne) Burke of Munnsville; Cody Williams of Lebanon; several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held at 3pm Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Augusta Cemetery, Knoxboro, NY.
There will be a celebration of Kaden’s life at the pavilion at Madison Lake following the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY.
