William J. Rounds, 61, of Daytonville Rd., Waterville, NY, died Thursday, March 22, 2018 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in the state of Ohio.
He was born January 8, 1957 in Syracuse, a son of the late Jesse J. and Mary Weaver Rounds and received his education in Otselic Valley schools. He was a resident of Otselic for many years, and a jack of all trades from pepper picking to building silos across the Northeast. He loved everything to do with the agricultural/dairy field, a farmer at heart, a trucker by trade. The last few years he worked for J & D Farms in Georgetown, and then for Lewis Farms in Sauquoit, impacting everyone in his travels. He enjoyed music, going to concerts and festivals with the lifetime of friends he met along the way. Loved his hole-in-the wall diners and sharing coffee and doughnuts with his beloved canine companion Bo. God called him home to rest, a soft-spoken giant of a man with a heart of gold who earned everything he had from the sweat of his brow, finally caught this midnight rider.
Surviving are his children, Amber Rounds of Munnsville and Ethan Rounds of Waterville; sisters, Cindy Rounds and Cathy (Skip) Stone; brothers, Terrance (Patty) Rounds, Randall (Melissa) Rounds, James (Becky) Rounds; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by many friends. A brother, Scott predeceased him.
