Obituary for June M. DeBrucque (Sellen)

June M. Sellen DeBrucque, 88, Route 12B, Hamilton, NY, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Colonial Park Nursing Home in Rome, NY.
She was born June 8, 1929 in Syracuse, a daughter of John and Elinor Leinbaugh Sellen. She was a 1947 graduate of Central High School in Syracuse. June was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1948 to 1950. On December 5, 1953, June married Richard E. DeBrucque in Syracuse. He predeceased her on August 29, 1969. June worked at Agway in Syracuse for over 16 years until retiring. She loved playing cards and dominos.
June was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hamilton.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Teresa DeBrucque of Canastota; Peter and Marie DeBrucque of Greer, SC; sister and brother-in-law, Betsy and Donald Walker of Baldwinsville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ernest, Sr. and Joan Sellen, of Manlius; Jay and Dolores Sellen of Dayton, OH; three grandchildren, Richard, Nicholas and Karin; many nieces, nephews, close and good friends.
There will be a gathering at the Kingdom Hall, Hamilton Congregation, on Route 26 in Eaton on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 2-5pm..
Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Canastota in the spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY.
