Kim Marie Chlad, of Sherburne, NY, died peacefully on June 4, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on February 10, 1957, in New Berlin, NY to James and Beverly (Hall) Chlad. Kim was a graduate of Hamilton Central School and lived in the Hamilton, Canastota and Sherburne areas for most of her life.
Kim was a compassionate and caring individual who loved her family and her animals. From a young age on, Kim began bringing home animals and caring for them. She was athletic, swimming across Lake Moraine, as a young girl, while her siblings rowed beside her. She loved gardening, music and dancing, and enjoyed caring for her many plants. As a mother and grandmother, she enjoyed making the most fun with her time spent with family.
She is survived by her three daughters, her greatest pride; Rachel Russo Farwell (Joe Case), Mary Russo Watkins (Scott) and Beverly Russo, and her grandchildren, Xavier, Emma and Connor Farwell and Chloe Watkins, all of Canastota. Also surviving is her mother, Beverly Chlad of Hamilton, sisters Pamela Chlad Prutzman (Dennis) of Arvada, CO and Robin Chlad of Tucson, AZ and her brothers, Michael Chlad (Lori) and Kane Chlad (Gail) all of Hamilton, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her longtime companion, Steve Manwarren of Sherburne. She was predeceased by her father, James, and brother, Chad.
Services will be private for the family.
