HUBBARDSVILLE: Michael R. Woods, 67, of Larkin Rd., passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Utica.
He was born February 22, 1950 in Saranac Lake, NY, a son of Richard and Eleanor Kelly Woods and was a graduate of Saranac Lake schools. On April 4, 1970, Michael married Connie M. Moon in Saranac Lake. Mike was a truck driver for Hansen’s Trucking in Oriskany Falls. He enjoyed hunting, welding and playfully picking on his grandchildren. He was a member of the East Hamilton United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Connie; his children, Wanda Woods of Oriskany Falls; Bettyanne and Mike Boprey of Norwood; Wayne and Melissa Woods of Bloomingdale; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard “Rick” and Karen Woods of FL; William “Billy” and Rosemarie Woods of MA; his grandchildren, Anna “Nicki” Nolan of Oriskany Falls; Amanda Nolan of Saranac Lake; Michael Woods and Gavin Woods, both of Oriskany Falls; Chelsea Schachtler of Charlotte, NC; Sabrina Jones of Norwood; Shea, Avery and Keira Woods, all of Bloomingdale; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm Monday, June 5, 2017 from the East Hamilton United Methodist Church. The family will greet friends in the church hall following the service.
Interment is private at the convenience of the family.
