Obituary for Doris A. Brouillette (Wheeler)

Doris A. Brouillette, 77, of Brouillette Rd., Waterville, NY, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born August 11, 1939 in Utica, daughter of Louis and Helen Collis Wheeler and was a graduate of Sauquoit High School. On July 27, 1963, Doris married John Brouillette at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Chadwicks. He predeceased her on December 17, 1999. Doris had worked at General Electric and Foster Paper in Utica prior to her marriage, and then assisted her husband in the operation of their dairy farm. Her family was most precious to her and the times spent with them were her greatest pleasure. She enjoyed bus trips, country music, gardening, cooking, and was very fond of animals, especially the calves on the farm.
Doris was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville. She was a member of the Traveler’s Club, Oriska Valley Seniors and the Chenango Water Exercise Group.
Surviving are her children, daughter, Sharon Brouillette (Marc Ippolito) of New York City; sons, John P., Randy (Lisa), and Wayne (Missy) Brouillette, all of Waterville; her beloved grandchildren, John, Paul, Claire, Nolan, Margaret and Aidan; brother, Edward (Karen) Wheeler, of Waterville; sisters-in-law, Bernadette Brown of Centerville, OH; Margaret (John) Horner of Honolulu, HI; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by four brothers, Earl, Fred, Art and John Wheeler.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Church, 199 Stafford Ave., Waterville.
Interment will be in St. Bernard’s Cemetery at a later date.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville on Tuesday from 4-7pm.
