RONALD E. TICE

WATERVILLE:

Ronald E. Tice, 65, of Madison, formerly of Waterville, passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica. He was born November 4, 1951 in the Town of New Hartford and was a lifelong resident of Sangerfield and Waterville, a 1972 graduate of Waterville High School. On July 14, 1973 he was united in marriage to the former Susan M. White in St. Bernard’s Church. Ronald was employed by the Town of Sangerfield out of high school, General Electric for over 16 years, worked part time as a Waterville Central School bus driver and a mechanic at Sangerfield Auto and Tire before being employed by the New York State Dept. of Transportation as highway maintenance supervisor retiring in 2013. He was a member of the St. James’s Episcopal Church, Clinton and active in the Girl Scouts, Foothills Council for many years. He enjoyed stamp collecting, old cars and camping. Ronald’s family was most important to him especially his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife Susan, two daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy and Clifford Coffin of Cedarville; Michele and Paul Cotter of Madison, a son and his companion Joshua Tice and Leigh Carmignani of Madison, his grandchildren, Keith, Thomas, Emily, and Kasey Coffin, Zach and Tyler Cotter. Also surviving are several In-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins, including two special cousins, Vicki Tice of Oriskany Falls and Greg Tice of Waterville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel), 210 E. Main St. Waterville. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton. Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the funeral home.
