Jacqueline M. Sergent, 64, of Georgetown, NY passed away Saturday November 5, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born January 12, 1952 in Canastota, a daughter of the late William and Ann Schultz Wesseldine. She received her early education in Munnsville and was a graduate of Morrisville-Eaton High School. On September 11, 1971, Jacqueline married Malcom D. “Mac” Sergent in Canastota. She had been a teacher in the South Otselic Methodist Church pre-school, and was also a daycare provider for many years. Jackie’s favorite times were spent traveling with Mac on their motorcycle, camping, and ice skating with her granddaughter.
Surviving are her husband, Mac; her children, Christopher “Herb” Sergent, Brandi and Garth Goike, all of Georgetown; granddaughters, Autumn and Summer; sisters, Shirley Ellis of Sherrill and Beverly Scenendoah of Oneida; brother, William “Bill” Wesseldine of Williamstown; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her Husky, Tinkerbell, and grand-puppy, Lincoln. She was predeceased by her brothers, Terry and Charles, and sisters, Donna and Debbie.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday November 12, 2016 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Georgetown.
