Obituary for Jean A. Risley (Edick)
JEAN A. (EDICK) RISLEY
DEANSBORO:
Jean A. (Edick) Risley, 85, of Deansboro, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born February 3, 1930 in Utica, a daughter of the late Edward and Blanche Edick and received her education in local schools. She married Howard S. Risley in April of 1948. Jean was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, BINGO with her friends at Harding Nursing Home and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Risley and Doreen; Chris and Veronica Risley and a daughter Cindy Risley, grandchildren, Ashley, Casey, Christina and Josh and great grandchildren, Rory and Isabella.
She was predeceased by her husband Howard, a son Stuart and a brother Dave and sister Norma.
A service will be held on Thursday evening at 8:00 PM at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel), 210 E. Main St. Waterville, NY.
Friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
A prayer service will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 AM followed by Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery, Utica.
Contributions may be made to benefit the Harding Nursing Home Activities Dept.
