I'm so sorry for your loss. I read your son's obituary in the Waterville Times and saw all that he accomplished in such a short period of time to make you and your family so proud. Kristie and John, I was so saddened to hear about David. He was born after I left working for Dr Delorme so I did not know him. I had the privilege of having David in my Spanish 101 class at Morrisville in the Fall 2009 semester. He was respectful, hard working, and supportive of his classmates. I am very sorry for his death. We did not know David but the urgent prayer request came through the internet alerting the Body of Christ to stand in the gap for the life of this young man. The unity of believers coming together for David has stirred our faith in ways that we cannot express. His life is not over-it has just begun eternally with Jesus. I did not know David or the Camp family...I heard about David through a friend who knows David's sister Jessica. I began praying for David and the family and the presence of the Lord was so great @ times that I was brought to tears of joy and overwhelming faith and oneness with the body of Christ. It was a privilege and blessing to be a part of Davids life if only for a moment in the spirit. I know I will see him in glory someday and my spirit will rejoice. Dave and I were in the same classes my first semester at Elim. One of the classes was Personal Evangelism. We all had to stand up and tell our testimony. I remember when Dave got up and shared his, I thought to myself, and later told him "Wow, he's going to change the world." I still believe his story has and will touch so many people. I am honored to have known him and called him my friend.

I met David in a Math class my first semester at Morrisville. Our class was very relaxed, and quickly became comfortable with one another. I began to make conversation with David on a regular basis about the upcoming tests or assignments. Soon, we were sitting next to each other in Student Government meetings as David represented BASIC. Together he and I did our part to help the meetings go smoothly and efficiently, in one particular instance the two of us resolved an issue that had been plaguing the assembly for weeks and had our proposition passed. David was of course the brains, i just used my talkative characteristics to sell his ideas. Now, i am the president of Student Government, and i was sincerely looking forward to having David as a member i could count on next year. I remember shaking his hand after the last meeting and saying have a good summer, see you next year It is unfortunate that David has passed, there is no doubt in my mind that he cracks my top ten for the kindest, happiest people Ive met at school. His ability to brighten anyone's day including my own was astounding. I will do my part to remember David, in efforts to further his memory using my authority in Student Government I will try to, at the very least, make an award in his name). You will be missed Dave...

David had been in my English Class my first Semester at Morrisville, during this class everyone was asked to write various papers and read them out loud to the class, each and every paper David wrote held inspiration and hope in it. One paper he wrote had specifically touched my heart, it was one about Rawanda, it prompted me to become more involved in my community and become closer to God. David will be dearly missed at Morrisville, his drive, his commitment to BASIC and his all around personality are something we will all remember and cherish. I Pray for your family in your time of need and know that the Lord is with you now and always.

I am a "Pray for David Camp" facebook member. I joined the gruop on Thursday 6/17 and began the intense praying along with the other members (only 2,000 at that time!). The thing was...I had been far from God. But Thursday and the days after that, I found myself laying facedown in my living room praying for David and crying out to the Lord. I searched for scriptures every day. I was so blessed by that page and all the outpouring of love and scriptures and prayer. Thank you David, for knowing the Lord and in turn bringing me back to a yearning to seek Him again. I didn't know you, I will someday and maybe I do know you a little bit now. God Bless the family.

I was saddened by David's going home. Hearing the reports of his progress in the hospital was encouraging to know he may pull through this. God's plans are not always our plans though. In April, Gabe and I were finally able to visit after 6 long years. I know God had called us to come, he knew it was the last time we would see David. We went to BASIC Wednesday night, bringing a group of kids form our church along. David led us in worship on his guitar and I remember thinking "what an amazing young man of God, his parents must be so proud of him, I know I would be." He so easily surrendered to what God wanted to do that night and he had such an anointing and a heart for the Lord. He was such an incredible young man, and knowing him has been truly a blessing to me. I will miss him deeply.

My daughter worked with David bringing the Glory of God to many. I never met David, but am fully aware of his impact on people. His life and yes, even death, has served to bring followers closer to the Lord. I didn't know David, but I feel like I did. I heard about the prayer group through Jeremy Camp's site on facebook. I can't imagine the pain and heartbreak that you all are going through.
