Marileen L. “Dusty” Dornburgh, 77, of White St., Waterville, NY, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford.
She was born March 13, 1934 in Brookfield, a daughter of Barton and Ada Cross Owen and received her education in Brookfield schools. Marileen had been married to Franklin L. Kabana. She married Elton C. “Dorny” Dornburgh in Waterville on June 16, 1973. He predeceased her on November 24, 2000. “Dusty” worked at the Waterville Knitting Mill until her retirement. She loved gardening and tending to her beautiful flower beds, and she enjoyed bird watching.
Surviving are her children, Ada Brownell and Jeff King of New Berlin; Frances and Bernard Drake of Brookfield; Aurelia and Thomas Pedersen of Brookfield; Faith Gentile of Waterville; Pamela and Michael Mikuszewski of Brookfield; step-daughter, Shirley Smith of Tampa, FL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosie King, Kate and Ken Whitaker, Martha and Dave Grimm LaClair, Pat and Dick Hodges, all of Brookfield; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon Owen, Nelson and Ruth Owen, Thomas and Rachael Owen, all of Brookfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her special friend John Weaver of Waterville. She was predeceased by four brothers, Steve, Donald, Warren and Dennis Owen.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the Crown Hill Memorial Park, Clinton.
There will be no calling hours.
