Daniel T. “Dutch” Rockwell, 54, of Utica Rd., Clinton, NY, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the HPCI Siegenthaler Center following a long illness.
He was born March 16, 1957 in Utica, a son of James N. and Althea Phillips Rockwell and attended Waterville schools. Dutch was a farmer who worked the family farm his entire life until he became ill.
Surviving are his mother and step-father, Althea and James Suire of Beaumont, TX and Madison, NY; two sisters, Nancy (James) Morgan of Waterville; Sarah (Hugh) Whynot of Beaumont, TX; step-sisters and step-brother, Starr (Richard) Thurber, Mary (Johnny) Tate, Jamie Suire; Russell (Laura) Suire, all of Beaumont, TX; nieces and nephews, Kellan, Brett and Kate Morgan, Kristina Johnson and Rachael Whynot; and step-nieces and nephews in Texas. He was predeceased by a brother, James in 1955, and his father in 1984.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, July 22, 2011, from the Deansboro United Methodist Church, followed by interment in the Deansboro Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call from 5-8pm Thursday at the Kloster-Northrop & Bentz Funeral Home, 210 East Main St., Waterville.
