Obituary for Ruby I. Watson (Fisher)

Ruby I. Watson, 98, formerly of the Earlville/South Hamilton, NY area passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Waterville Residential Care Center.
She was born October 19, 1920 in Madison, NY, a daughter of William and Marjorie Hitchcock Fisher and received her education in local schools. Ruby married George H. Watson who predeceased her. She assisted him in the operation of their farm and had worked as a custodian/housekeeper for Hamilton Central School, Harding Nursing Home, American Management Association and the Lutheran Home. She enjoyed crocheting. She was so full of life and embraced every moment. A lesson we hope is not lost on those she left behind.
She was a member of the Poolville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her sons, A. William “Bill” (Carolee) Gillette of Earlville; Edward “Wayne” Gillette of South Otselic; Richard “Dick” (Barbara) Gillette of Earlville; a sister, Rocelia Furner of Waterville; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Fisher; and two sisters, Ruth Ogden and Thelma Fredericks.
Graveside services will be held at the Deansboro Cemetery in the spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY 13346.
