Neil L. Cass, Jr., 57, of Route 20, Bouckville, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 12, 1961 in Hamilton, NY, a son of the late Neil L., Sr. and Gertrude Marris Cass and was a graduate of Madison High School. On June 23, 2007, Neil married Andrea L. Maiura in Madison. Neil was a carpenter and painter for many years and had also worked for Avanti Construction in Utica. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed cars and music and was learning to play the guitar. He also took great pleasure in caring for his home and lawn.
Neil was a member of the Bouckville United Methodist Church, and the local Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are his wife, Andrea; his children, Theodore Snyder III and Marisha Smith of Oneida; Michael and Megan Avery of Puyallup, WA; Nicholas Snyder and Kirsten Krause of Morrisville; Salina Briggs of Oneida; sisters, Patricia and Joel English; Pamela and Daniel Hynes; Susan Cass; brother, Michael Cass; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Brenda Clew and Elizabeth Cass.
In keeping with Neil’s wishes, there are no services or calling hours.
Interment is private at the convenience of his family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Wanderers Rest Humane Society, or your local humane society.
