Gottfried Muller, Jr., 74, of Sherburne, NY, formerly of Glendale, NY, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton, NY.
He was born December 30, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY a son of Gottfried, Sr. and Ida Hoefler Muller and received his education in local schools. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam Conflict. He had worked as a machinist for Fred M. Velepek in Glendale for over 30 years until retiring. Gottfried was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and the NY Giants, often going to their games. He also enjoyed fishing on Long Island’s Montauk Point. He had a deep love for animals, especially dogs.
He is survived by a sister, Katherine Pittman of Morrisville, nieces, Christine (Steve) Martin of Morrisville; Donna (Joseph) Sulton of Clayton, NC; Sharon (Milton) Riggall of Eaton; nephews, John (Candy) Duwel of Canastota; and Harry (Kimberly) Pittman of Madison; several great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 5pm Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton.
Interment with military honors will be in the Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island, NY on Monday November 19, 2018 at 1:30pm.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-5pm prior to the service.
