Print
With love in her heart, Geraldine M. (Gross) Quick passed into the waiting arms of Jesus Christ, her husband, parents, family and friends on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the young age of 86. She was born and raised in South Granby, NY before marrying and moving to Erieville, NY, where she raised their family. After retirement, she and her husband traveled the U.S., including two trips to Alaska, before settling in Fort McCoy, FL to enjoy their remaining years together. Geraldine was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, foster mother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. During her life, she shared her love, kindness and crafty talents as a member of the Little Utica United Methodist Church, the Erieville United Methodist Church, and the Fort McCoy United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corp in Cazenovia, NY for 10 years. She was known as a caregiver, avid reader and teddy bear collector. She was a very crafty lady who enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. In her later years, Geraldine conquered the modern technology of social media to enjoy being a part of the daily lives of her family and friends.
Geraldine was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Russell W. Quick of Danville, PA; her parents, Clarence and Marjorie (Bassett) Gross; brothers, Milton, Willis and William, all of Fulton, NY; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie (Gross) and Clifford Morningstar of Lebanon, OH; brother-in-law, Robert Delong of Euclid, NY; cousins-in-law, Gene and Norma Butler of Coudersport, PA; and her life long friend, Louise Isabell of West Eaton, NY.
