Hamilton, NY: Margaret Louise Stanley, 104, passed away Sunday October 14, 2018 at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
She was born in West New York, NJ on January 26, 1914, the daughter of William and Louise Beck Moeslein. Margaret married Peter Stanley on October 3, 1937. He predeceased her in 1978. Margaret worked in New York City as a telephone operator, was a bookkeeper for Howell Bros. Furniture in West New York, and, with her husband, owned and operated Stanley Floor Waxing in Bergen County, NJ. She was a member of the Bergenfield Baptist Church, Bergenfield, NJ. Upon retiring, they moved to Burlingham, NY. In 2002, Margaret moved to Hamilton, NY and resided at the Madison Lane Apartments. She attended the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hamilton, where she shared her love of the Lord with everyone she met.
Surviving are her son and his wife, Ronald and Barbara Stanley of Munnsville, NY; four grandchildren, Robert Stanley of Thompson Ridge, NY; Valerie and John Murphy of Ebensburg, PA; Jill Stanley of Munnsville, NY and Christine Stanley of Lancaster, NY; two great-grandsons, David and Jared Stanley of Thompson Ridge, NY. She was predeceased by a brother, William Moeslein.
Funeral services will be held at 7pm Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, Lake Moraine Rd., Hamilton.
Interment will be in the George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton on Wednesday from 2-4pm.
