SHIRLEY K. HILTS

EATON:

Shirley K. Hilts, 83, of Eaton Rd., passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. She was born July 11, 1935 in Hamilton a daughter of the late Edwin O. and Ruth M. Palmer Kingsbury and graduated from Hamilton High School. On July 18, 1953 in Hamilton, she was united in marriage to Wallace W. “Bud” Hilts. He predeceased her on July 6, 2013. Mrs. Hilt’s worked for over 20 years for Kennedy & Clarke Insurance of Cazenovia and later Bailey, Haskell & LaLonde in Cazenovia for a few years as a secretary until her retirement in 2005. She was a past member of the West Eaton Fire Dept. Aux.
Surviving are her two daughters and sons in law, Susan Kemp Russ (Joe Russ) of W. Eaton and Barbara Gallup Shoytush (Steven Shoytush) of Cortland.; two grand-daughters Nicole (Christopher) Mariotti of Clayville and Lauren Schaefer (Ryan Elliott) of Oneonta. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews including a very special niece and nephew Becky Oster and Mark Hollingsworth.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 4 PM from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville. Interment will follow in Eaton Village Cemetery.
Friends are invited and may call Saturday from 2 to 4 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
