Jeanette Doyle, 91, of West Bacon St., Waterville, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Jeanette was born at Faxton Hospital on April 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie Creedon Collins. She was a lifelong resident of Waterville. On January 17, 1948, Jeanette married William Doyle at St. Bernard’s Church. Jeanette was a long time member of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America as a gifted cross stitch artist and was an avid collector of specialty items including glassware. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially camping in the Adirondacks and Florida.
Jeanette is survived by her four children, Sandra and Michael Walsh of Bonita Springs, FL; Deborah Doyle of Winter Park, FL; James and Mary Doyle of Gravesville, NY; and Gregg and Gail Doyle of Clinton, NY; nine grandchildren, Jennifer DeSalvo, Melissa Ginsburg, Stephanie Miller, Jeffrey Doyle, Megan Spado, Katherine and Jessica Toukatly, Jillian and Cody Doyle; and ten great-grandchildren, Taylor Almstead, Mitchell, Heather and Jared Ginsburg; Ian and Carson Miller; Presley and Audrey Doyle; Savannah and Ben Spado. She was predeceased by her husband, William Doyle; sister, Pauline Barnes; son-in-law, Nicholas DeSalvo; cherished friends, Lidia Heidel, Ruth Rienzo and Ron Tice; and her beloved cat, Grama’s Boy.
A memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Bernard’s Church, 199 Stafford Ave., Waterville, on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11am, followed by burial in St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
