Obituary for Marion "Mitzi" Spuller (Yuhas)

Marion “Mitzi” Spuller, 90, of Lebanon, NY, passed away peacefully at home on June 4, 2018.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 7, 1927, a daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth Majyar Yuhas. Marion married William Spuller on August 9, 1947 in Hempstead, NY. They lived in Uniondale, NY until 1978 when they retired to Lebanon. William predeceased her in 2012. Marion worked in the pet department of Abraham & Straus department store and had also been a bookkeeper for Husslein Auto Body Supply, both of Hempstead, NY. Marion was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. She was fluent in three languages and will be fondly remembered for her quick-thinking sense of humor. She was a past member of the Chenango Water Exercise Group in Hamilton.
Marion is survived by her two sons and their families: William, Jr. and Marva Spuller and their children Benjamin and Emily; Steven and Michelle Spuller and their son Steven, Jr. She is also survived by one sister, one brother and several nieces and nephews. Marion was predeceased by a brother and three sisters.
In keeping with Marion’s wishes, there are no services.
Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413; the Chenango Water Exercise Group, PO Box 284, Hamilton, NY 13346; or to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY.
