Ellen M. Post, 73, of Abbert Rd., Hubbardsville, NY, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born July 6, 1944 in Freeport, L.I., NY a daughter of Harold and Hazel Whaley Ravenscroft and received her education in Freeport schools. On August 3, 1963, Ellen married Donald J. Post in Roosevelt, L.I. He predeceased her on February 9, 2008. Ellen had worked for Johnson & Johnson in Hicksville, L.I. until retiring. She and Don were frequent visitors to Hubbardsville for many years and moved there following their retirement. She enjoyed watching tv and playing video games. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and the time spent with them was most precious to her.
Surviving are her children, Donald Post of Hubbardsville; Daniel Post of Lindenhurst, L.I., Christopher and Victoria Post of Hubbardsville; a sister, Barbara Villone of Levittown, L.I.; her beloved grandsons, Christopher Post, Jr. of Geneva, OH and Matthew Post of Hubbardsville; several nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was predeceased by a sister, Grace Post.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY.
Interment will be in the Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8pm.
