VIRGINIA M. WHITE
CAZENOVIA: Virginia M. “Ginny” White, 84, loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
She was born April 11, 1933 in Ogdensburg, NY, a daughter of John and Anna Papineau White. Ginny had worked for local companies including Syracuse Handbag, Camillus Cutlery and Travelers Insurance. She later worked for the NYS Department of Transportation in Syracuse for 15 years until retiring. Ginny was a talented person who enjoyed several hobbies. She was an artist whose painting was displayed at the Everson Museum, taught herself to play the electric keyboard, and loved to knit and crochet. She was known for the hats and headbands that she created and even gave them out to trick-or-treaters at Halloween. She also enjoyed socializing with her friends of the VFW auxiliary in East Syracuse. She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are her daughter, June (Ernest) Kreis of Erieville; son Christopher Stevens of Baldwinsville; sisters, Rosemary (Donald) Newvine of Mattydale; and Annabelle Spaulding of Rochester; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel P. Green, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from Noon to 2pm prior to the service.
Interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
