Condolence From: Diane & Fran Van Slyke

Condolence: Bob was part of the Board of Directors for the Chenango Canal Association for years. He studied the canal feeder system & took us on a field trip to waste weirs, a suspended bridge over the Chenango River, miles of stone structures that funneled the feeders and the reservoirs. He had walked the whole system & wrote a book about it. He was really intelligent & could figure out how things worked. He was also kind. We have a painting of a canal boat hanging in the Canal Cottage Museum that he gave us. We will miss him.
