Jo Anne Beeching, 67, of Division St., Norwich, NY, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018.
She was born March 16, 1950 in Utica, a daughter of Oswald H. and June Lewis Schieffer. Jo Anne had worked at Ozzie’s Diner in Sherburne and Norwich. She loved reading detective novels and playing cards. She was a good cook who had a great sense of humor and was quick to make anyone laugh. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.
Surviving are her daughters, Jacquelyne (Van) Scott of Norwich; Bobbi (Sherman) Conant of Norwich; Sera Beeching of Utica; and sons, Shawn Beeching of Syracuse and Sandy Beeching of Norwich; sisters, Mary Gantt of Norwich; Theresa Schieffer of Arkansas; brothers, Edward (Carol) Schieffer of Arizona; Michael Schieffer of Norwich; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 5pm Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment is private.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3-5pm prior to the service.
