Dorothy K. Lamb, 84, of Horton Rd., Hamilton, NY, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
Dorothy was born on November 11, 1933 in Utica, a daughter of Wesley C. and Clara Lewis King. She was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School and the Utica School of Commerce. On January 31, 1953, she married Kenneth E. Lamb in Sauquoit. Dorothy worked for Cossitt Motor Express for many years, and later at the Hamilton Central School cafeteria. She was a pianist and taught her granddaughter to play the piano. She loved flowers and gardening, enjoyed knitting and doing puzzles. Dorothy was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Hamilton.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Kenneth; her children, Cynthia and Dale Rollins of Munnsville; Neil and Beth Lamb, Paul and Kim Lamb, all of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Gregory and Jennifer Rollins of Denver, CO; Kevin Rollins and Jeffrey Rollins, both of Canastota; and Megan Lamb of Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Carter Rollins of Denver, CO several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Gordon King.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1-3pm.
The funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm.
Spring interment will be in the Smith’s Valley Cemetery, Randallsville, NY.
