Condolence: We always had such fun when Betty came to Utica for her organ lesson! She was a model senior citizen -- eager to learn something new, determined to do her best, and always smiling and and laughing. It's been several years since I last saw her, but I remember her as if she had just had a lesson last week. I'm so glad our paths crossed. What a special lady!

Condolence: My mother, Julia Roskam Whitley, was a cousin of Betty. Julia was the middle daughter of Edward and Mary Ford Roskam. I'm not certain, but I believe I may have met Betty at the first Ford Family Reunion many years ago held in Clinton, NY. It was wonderful to meet so many members of Mom's extended family all in one place. Viewing the family tree was something I'll never forget, especially now that I'm attempting to re-build the tree on my computer, having lost my printed copy of the tree. I have so many fond memories of my grandparents' farm on old Canning Factory Road in Waterville, such a beautiful town. My sympathies go out to all of Betty's family, with much affection.
