Leona Frances (Le Fleur) Sergent Irwin Crandall, 82, of State Highway 8, Mt. Upton, NY, formerly of Poolville, NY passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
She was born October 25, 1926 in Randolph, VT, a daughter of John and Lena Hewitt Le Fleur, and was a graduate of Earlville High School. Leona was a homemaker. She was married to Harold Sergent, Elmer Irwin and Russell Crandall, all of whom predeceased her.
Surviving are her children, Sally and Roger Galler of Chittenango; Elizabeth and Louis Scholl of Unadilla; David and Sandy Sergent of Edinburg, VA; Steven and Mary Sergent of Mt. Upton; Sharon and Kevin Raymond of Oriskany Falls; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Stone and Ann Sykes, and a brother, Carl Le Fleur.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Hamilton.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from Noon until 2 PM prior to the service.
