George L. Wormuth, Sr., 83, of Oriskany Falls, NY passed away on September 7, 2017 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born the son of the late, Joseph and Lottie Belle Zuninger Wormuth on August 21, 1934 in Peakville, NY. George married Helen DeVaul on April 7, 1956 in Clarksville, NY. He was a mechanic at the Art Cunningham Buick Dealer in Clinton and then later at Dodge City, Yorkville, NY. His hobbies included fishing and hunting, and he was an avid NY Yankee fan.
George is survived by his five sons and their spouses, George and Becky of Madison, Joseph of Schuyler, James and Debra of Bridgewater, Douglas and Daryl Wormuth both of Cassville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edna and Josephine; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen on September 25, 2004; a brother, Richard; and two sisters, Irene and Margaret.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, Waterville, NY,13480, followed by interment in Waterville Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4-7:00PM.
