Timothy J. Lewis, 64, of St. Johnsville, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.
He was born September 4, 1952 in Hamilton, NY, a son of Stuart and Carolyn King Lewis. He was a graduate of Waterville Central School and continued his studies at Cobleskill Agricultural and Technical College. Tim was a tool and die maker and machinist at Miele Manufacturing, and then for several other companies. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a voracious reader.
Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Revita Lewis of Stokesdale, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Robert Hamm of Saratoga Springs, NY; Kathleen and Jerry Russell of Mishawaka, IN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Susan Lewis of Newark Valley, NY; Richard and Irmgard Lewis of Waverly, NY; his aunts, Marjorie Carmichael of Madison, NY and Edith Mister of Citrus Heights, CA; his dear friend, Denise Dingman of St. Johnsville; and former wife, Diane VanSlyke. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial Services will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from the Kloster & Northrup Memorial Chapel at Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 210 E. Main St., Waterville, NY, followed by interment in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Waterville.
