Obituary for Beverly Jeanne Card (Jones)

BEVERLY JEANNE CARD

ERIEVILLE: Beverly Jeanne Card, 78, of Tuscarora Rd., passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.
She was born November 19, 1938 in Nelson, NY, a daughter of A. Derwood and Alice Fuller Jones. She was a graduate of Morrisville High School and Morrisville Agricultural and Technical College. She had worked for SUNY, Morrisville for 52 years until retiring in 2015. Beverly married Reginald Card on June 2, 1962. He died on July 16, 2013. Beverly loved sports of all kinds, and was a fan of Syracuse University basketball. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid bird watcher. Favorite times were spent at the lake with her family, especially with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her canine “babies” Heidi and Ziggy. She was of the Methodist faith.
Beverly was a member of the Erieville Firemen’s Auxiliary and the Order of the Eastern Star Oriental Chapter #119 of Georgetown.
Surviving are her children, Marsha and Patrick Massett, Reginald “Butch”, Jr. and Betsy Card, all of Erieville; Cindy and Luke DeGroat of Pratts Hollow; Rhonda and Rick Southard of Leavenworth, KS; Robin and John Miner of Erieville; Robert Sisbower of Norwich; Dorothy and Glenn Zawitkoski of Milton, Ontario, Canada; ten grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Tessa, Kasi, Shane, Kyle, Keri, Cody, Michael and Adam; seven great-grandchildren, Claire, Carter, Haylee, Charlotte, Nicolas, Isabella and Josie; two sisters, Sharon DeMusso and Nancy Arsenau; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, LuAnn Hardie and Sandra Sisbower.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, June 10, 2017 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY, followed by a reception at Madison Hall in Morrisville.
Interment in the Erieville Cemetery is private.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7pm.
