Ronald J. Isbell, 91, of Route 26, West Eaton, NY, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
He was born August 26, 1925 in the Town of Nelson, a son of Eli and Ida Jones Isbell and received his education in local schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On June 24, 1951, Ronald married Louise Woodcock in West Eaton. She predeceased him on March 16, 2016. Ron was a heavy equipment operator who worked with his brother, Francis in the construction business. He enjoyed gardening, lawn care, and was an avid NY Yankees fan. He was a former member of the West Eaton Fire Department.
Surviving are his children, Kathleen Cross of Eaton; Michael Isbell of West Eaton; Kelly and Jackson Sterle of Eaton; a sister-in-law, Jean Isbell of West Eaton; his beloved grandchildren, Jessica Cross (Rob) of Eaton; Tyler (Larsyn) Cross of Charleston, SC; Shawn Isbell of Vail, CO; Justin Isbell (Ashley) of Poolville; Rory (Nikki) Larkin of San Diego, CA; cherished great-grandchildren, Lucas and Riley. He was predeceased by a son, Riley F. Isbell, and a brother, Francis Isbell.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home 31, Cedar St., Morrisville on Friday, May 26, 2017 from Noon until 2pm, followed by graveside services in the Eaton Village Cemetery.
