Obituary for Frederick R. Nichols

Frederick R.  Nichols
Frederick R. Nichols, 65, of Inman Rd., Norwich, NY, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City, NY.
He was born October 4, 1951 in Littleton, VT, a son of Frederick and Jacqueline Wright Nichols. He was raised in Norwich and was a graduate of Norwich High School. On October 31, 1986, he married Sandra “Sandy” Webb in North Norwich. Fred had been a warehouseman at Victory Markets, and later worked for Chenango County in Norwich until retiring in January of this year. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing and woodworking. Fred was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Surviving are his wife, Sandy; his children, Russell and Sheri Nichols of FL; Jennifer Nichols of FL; Toni Nichols of Sherburne; step-son Steven Lawson and his fiancée, Brenda Jorden of Sherburne; step-daughters, Carol and Brian Hicks of Smyrna; Dee and Jeff Llewellyn of Sherburne; grandchildren, Daniel Hicks, Heather Morgan, Alyson Hicks, Amber Nichols, Courtney Nichols, Daisha Nichols, Cody Lawson and Russel Nichols; great-grandchildren, Chayse Yurenda and Alexa Petretti; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita and Wayne Case of Norwich; Sandy Nichols and Pam Harmon, both of CT; Donna and Doug Jones of Canastota; Chris and Wilson Franklin of Norwich; step-sister, Denise Paul of CT; step-brothers and sister-in-law, Mike and Astrid Brothers of CT; Robert Brothers of MA; several nieces and nephews and his canine companion “Jake”. He was predeceased by a step-brother, Brian Brothers.
A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of his family.
Interment in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin, NY is private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY.
