Obituary for Lenore W. "Kouk" Davis (Webber)

MORRISVILLE: Lenore “Kouk” Sylvia Webber Davis, 90, of Davis Corners Road, passed away Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
Kouk, as she was best known, was born January 13, 1927, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Anna Waring and Kenneth T. Webber. She grew up in Morrisville and Cazenovia and graduated high school from Cazenovia Central School in 1944. In 1948, she married Clayton T. “Tom” Davis and moved to Chicago for a short while before they returned home to Morrisville. Kouk worked in a local lawyer’s office and then for Key Bank’s insurance division in Morrisville until her retirement in 1982. She loved to sing and sang at many family and friend weddings and was also a part of local chorale groups (Oneida and Sherburne). She also sang in the church choir at the Morrisville Community Church to which she belonged for many years. With the assistance of her many church friends, she was even able to attend and sing a few times this past year.
Kouk was predeceased by her husband Tom just this past August, a daughter Susan Jane Davis, a sister Jean W. Hancock, and two brothers Travis W. Webber and Barclay W. Webber, Sr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Helen and John Payne of Lebanon; two grandsons along with their wives and children Shawn, Crystal, Sarah and Emily Payne of Eaton, and Aaron, Devon and Gage Payne of Manheim, PA; along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Funeral services and interment in the Morrisville Rural Cemetery will be private at the convenience of her family.
In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in her memory to either the Morrisville Community Church or Crouse Community Center. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many folks in these two communities for their compassionate care over the past few months.
