Obituary for Marion L. Jantzen

MARION L. JANTZEN

EARLVILLE: Marion L. Jantzen, 78, of West Main St., passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born December 4, 1938 in the Town of Lebanon, a daughter of Walter F. “Bud” and Iona J. Cramer Jantzen. She was a 1956 graduate of Earlville High School and had attended secretarial school. Marion was an administrative assistant at Colgate University in Hamilton for 35 years until retiring. Previously, she had worked for the Madison County Department of Social Services in Wampsville, and T.A.C.O. in Sherburne. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and playing scrabble. Above all, she was a loving mother and grandmother whose family was her greatest joy in life.
Surviving are her children, Kimberly (Timothy) June of Homer; Audrey (William “Bill”) Jeffrey of Holmesville; Paul (Virginia “Gini”) Blair of Blackstone, VA; Stacey (Brian) Provence-Roosa of Suffolk, VA; and Shawna Foster-Eaves of Norwich; a sister and brother-in-law, Millicent “Mitzi” (James) Anthony of LaPlace, LA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald (Shirley) Jantzen of Orlando, FL; Gary (Kathy) Jantzen of Pine City, NY; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and her angel, Donna Jantzen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville.
There will be a private interment at a later date in Earlville Cemetery.
