Vicki S. Law Prosser, 49, of Knapp Rd., Sherburne, NY, passed away after courageously battling a rare blood disease on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Wilson Regional Medical Center in Johnson City, NY.
She was born January 15, 1968 in Norwich, NY, a daughter of James and Elizabeth Webb Law and was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School. On August 15, 1992, Vicki married the love of her life, George B. “Scooter” Prosser in Smyrna, NY. He predeceased her on June 20, 2016. Vicki had been a beautician at one time. She had also worked at Victory Markets, and was a bartender at the Honky Tonk Saloon in Sherburne and the Sherburne American Legion. Vicki was a brave person who used her inner strength to overcome all the challenges in her life. She was a loving and generous person who was always thoughtful of others. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, crafting, and most of all, her children and grandchildren. Vicki was a member of the American Legion Post #876 Auxiliary in Sherburne, where she was also a member of the pitch league.
Surviving are her father, James Law and companion, Nancy Bassett of Bainbridge; mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Clay Welch of Norwich; mother-in-law, Brenda Prosser of Sherburne; her children, Sara Prosser and fiance, Kyle Ryan, Bradley Prosser and Karen Osburn, all of Sherburne; sisters, Kathi Law of Rome; Terri (Mark) Becht of Sherburne; brother, Dale Law of Cicero; half-sister Jessica (John) Cremens of OH; grandchildren, Atti Prosser and Kyle Ryan, Jr; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by a son, Adam Law Prosser.
Memorial Services will be held at 7pm Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7pm.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
