Evelyn P. Paulson, 90, of Conger Ave., Waterville, NY passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 24, 1926 in Bloomingdale, NJ, a daughter of George and Margaret Knapp Griffiths. In 1946, Evelyn married Arthur T. Paulson in Lincoln Park, NJ. He predeceased her on November 18, 1993. Evelyn was a homemaker whose family was her greatest joy.
Evelyn was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Waterville where she was always there to lend a hand helping with the bazaars, the clothing giveaways, the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets and anything else that needed a volunteer. She was a community minded person and a member of the Waterville Firemen’s Auxiliary, the Bell Tower Chapter O.E.S., and the Waterville Senior Citizens. She was always active and still enjoyed going to the gym.
Surviving are her children, Kenneth and Debra Paulson of North Brookfield; Steven and Lorraine Paulson of Hamburg, NJ; Joyce and Stephen Klein of Brick, NJ; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Arthur L. Paulson; a granddaughter, Dawn; and a sister, Margaret McKeever.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, November 10, 2016 form St. Bernard’s Church, 199 Stafford Ave., Waterville, followed by interment in the Waterville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel) 210 East Main St., Waterville on Wednesday from 4-7pm.
