Bonnie J. Nelson, 64, of Montgomery St., Hamilton, NY, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisville.
She was born on November 13, 1951 in Utica, NY, a daughter of Francis and Clara Angle Curtis and was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School. Bonnie had worked as a cashier in the cafeteria at Hamilton Central School for 15 years. A loving Mom and Grandmother, Bonnie’s most cherished times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to garage sales and was a collector of Christmas items.
Surviving are her two daughters, Amanda Nelson and Karen Weyant, and a son, Matthew Nelson, all of Hamilton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Lawrence Panfil of Saratoga Springs; Deanna and Wayne Harner of New Braunfels, TX; and Mariea Chase of Hamilton; her beloved grandchildren, Jordan, Ashley, Alyssa, Hannah and Mason; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Nelson, and a niece, Samantha Chase.
Funeral Services will be held at 7pm Thursday, August 4, 2016 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton.
Interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-7pm prior to the service.
