K. James Ford, 83, of Clinton, NY passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at Crouse Hospital Syracuse with his family at his side. He was born in the Town of Sangerfield on September 3, 1932 a son of the late Charles and Catherine Creedon Ford and graduated from Waterville High School.
On January 5, 1955 he was united in marriage to the former Janis McLean in Lansing, MI. Jim worked as a dairy farmer, starting on the family farm in 1957 and later owned and operated the family farm, until his retirement. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Church, Waterville. A former member of the Farm Bureau and Cooperative Extension. He enjoyed hunting, bowling and playing cards with friends and family.
He was a caring and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by all. Surviving is his companion, Eleanor Frost, and his children, Kenneth and Pamela Ford of Clinton; Edward and Donna Ford and Jeffrey C. Ford of Waterville; and Mary Kay and Kevin Lloyd of Clinton, He is also is survived by three sisters and a brother in law, Betty Barnes of Hubbardsville; Eileen and Jack Shepherd of Clinton; Ann Moriarity of Oriskany, grandchildren, Andrew Ford, John and Jill Ford, Jamie and Theresa Ford, Kristy and Rob Cowles, Nicholas and Rachael Ford, Colleen and Seth Weiss, Amy Lloyd and Tammy Lloyd, great grandchildren, Valorie, Allyson, Olivia, Peyton, AJ, Kylee, Madison, Spencer and Ava, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers and sisters in law, Robert and Barbara Ford; Vincent and Marcia Ford; Richard and Anne Ford and two brothers in law Lester Barnes and Dan Moriarity.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM from St. Bernard’s Church, Stafford Ave., Waterville. Interment will follow in the Waterville Cemetery. Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, from 5 to 8 PM at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel), 210 E. Main St., Waterville.
