Obituary for David W. Elliott

David W. Elliott, 43, of Bridgewater, NY, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 as the result of an accident.
He was born November 16, 1971 in Utica, a son of Lowell K. and Geraldine Getchell Elliott and received his education in Waterville schools. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. On July 30, 1994, he married Tina M. Schermerhorn in Leonardsville. David worked for JC Rendering, Inc. in Frankfort. His favorite times were spent with his wife, his children and his friends, as well as riding his motorcycle.
David is survived by his wife, Tina; his parents, Lowell and Geraldine Elliott of Waterville; father-in-law, Gary Schermerhorn of Brookfield; his children, Samantha, Keith and Gary Elliott, all of Bridgewater; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deidre and Dale Williams of Bridgewater; Crystal Elliott of Waterville; Kerri and Barry Jacobs of New Berlin; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Dianna Elliott of Waterville; sister-in-law, Teresa Gajdzis of Cincinnatus; brother-in-law, Gary L. Schermerhorn of FL; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, including nephews and Godsons, Avery and Xander. He is also survived by many friends, including special friends who were like brothers, Timothy DeGrace, Richard Stacy, II, Fred Furner, Jr., Aaron Brown, Tristan Buss and Emmett Smith. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Debra Schermerhorn; an uncle, David Elliott; an aunt, June Diehl; and his grandparents, Ralph Elliott, Florence Slate, Frank and Mary Getchell.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm Thursday, March 26, 2015 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home (Kloster & Northrop Memorial Chapel), 210 E. Main St., Waterville.
Interment will be private at the convenience of his family.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4pm prior to the service
