Owens
Obituary for Lois E. Owens
She was born August 24, 1939 in Cazenovia, a daughter of Royce and Katherine Knapp Owens. She was a graduate of Morrisville-Eaton Central School, SUNY Morrisville, and received her bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University. Lois was the Food Service Director at the Lutheran Homes in Clinton for 16 years until her retirement.
She was a sports fan who enjoyed watching many sports on TV. Lois was a loving sister and favorite aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Surviving are her sisters, Elaine Owens of Springfield, IL; Margaret (Daniel) Schnurbusch of Rochester, NY; a brother, Neil (Sandra) Owens of Palm Harbor, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert (Bobby) in 1991, and a sister, Ruth E. Clark in 2012.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, June 26, 2015 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, followed by interment in the Union Cemetery at the Welsh Church in Nelson, NY.
