Boyd E. “Beau” Vander Maas, 75, of Smyrna, NY, passed away at home on Sunday, June 22, 2014.
He was born September 5, 1938 in Patterson, NJ, a son of Alexander and Helen Costello Vander Maas. Beau was the plant engineer for the Selective Insurance Co. in Branchville, NJ until his retirement. Moving to upstate NY, Beau enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
Surviving are his loving companion of 18 years, Elaine Jones; three children, Mary, Todd and Tad, all of Ohio; sister Deborah (Phil) Licastro, NC; brothers, Gerald, Swartzwood, NJ; Alex (Ginny), Cushing, OK; Edward (Debbie), Vernon, NJ;
