Obituary for Georgia A. Upton (McDole)
MUNNSVILLE:
Mrs. Georgia A. Upton, 91 of Route 46, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Crouse Community Center, Morrisville.
She was born on November 6, 1922 in Steel, MI the daughter of the late Edward and Exie McDole and attended local schools. On July 13, 1953, Georgia was united in marriage to William S. (Bud) Upton in Reno, NV. He predeceased her in 1973. Mrs. Upton had owned and operated the Munnsville Hotel. She was a member of the American Legion Post #54 Auxiliary of Munnsville, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are two daughters and son in laws, Lynda and Wayne Smith of Morrisville; Terri and John Stewart of Barneveld, two sons, Garry Upton of Marcellus; Michael Upton of Fort Lauderdale, FL, a daughter in law, Lois White of Bouckville, 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Jack White.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM, from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville, NY. There are no calling hours. Interment will be held in the spring in Woodlawn Cemetery, Hamilton, NY.
